Range:  widely distributed throughout North America

Substrate:  decaying Oak & Tanoaks

Fruiting Duration:  late summer & fall (over winter in warm climates)

Spore Colour:  white, cream, or yellowish

Growth Formation:  growing alone, gregariously, or (more commonly) in clusters
